The leather is soft & stretchy which conforms to your foot. i do have to say when i first put them on i thought they were too small & didnt fit but i walked around in the house & realized that it didnt take long for the soft leather strap by the toes stretches & ended up fitting perfectly. There is no awful rubbing that you usually get when wearing new shoes to break them in. It pays for quality.
