So I tried on the regular width in store locally. Decided that a wider shoe would be better so ordered this one. I have to say .... I saw no real difference between the shoes. I think they used the same top pieces for both ... maybe just used a slightly .... slightly wider leather sole. The problem for me was the top. this was so tight I could not get it fully on my foot. I know the leather was soft and would stretch (my daughter has worn these for years) but ... there is no way it would stretch enough to accommodate the room I needed. Unfortunately had to return.Beautiful, well made shoe but seems to run about a half size too small. I kept them as they were for vacation and I didn't have time to get another size. I did get a sore on the top of one foot from wearing them all day. I am wearing them for shorter periods to break them in and hoping they will stretch a bit.This product split on bottom. Tried to return after 8 months to no avail. Would never buy these again. Never did get a refund. Defect in shoesI had purchased a previous pair in my normal size 6 & it runs a bit bigger than my normal size.So this pair a went down a half of a size,& now it's just right.Love these jacks!!! I have 5 pairs of jack Rogers and I love them all!! They are sort of a pain to break in, but once they are broken in, they are totally worth it! I have a narrow for and my feet fit perfectly in the narrow jack Rogers and I even have a little extra room. I got a great price and will definitely be buying another pair soon!!!I ordered these for my daughter and she loves them! I initially ordered them in a 7 1/2 regular width, which is what she wears in other shoes. However, those were way too narrow and too short, so I returned them for a size 8 wide and they were perfect.Have been wanting to get a pair of JR but could never find a wider width. So glad these were available. Would love to see more colors and styles in a wider width.This is my 3rd pair of Jacks and yes they are supposed to be somewhat to very tight at first. Since the shoes are made of leather it will take time to fit to our foot! They were great to take pictures and dance in for Prom! I HIGHLY reccomend them.
