I bought this, my first ever hot tent, to set up near a sledding hill that is located a ways out back on our Michigan property. It's a bit of a hike to get back and forth from the hill to/from our house, so I wanted a place near the hill to rest, maybe have some hot cocoa, and get warmed up in between sledding runs. I bought the tent in the Fall of 2023 and set it (by myself) immediately after receiving it. It was pretty easy to set up. I spread it out, staked it, put the pole in, did some adjustments to the stakes, then done. The tent has been sitting in that same location for over a year now. The date I'm writing this is currently Nov 2024.The first Winter the tent was up we got a big dumping of heavy wet snow and I couldn't get out to the tent with a snow rake to get the snow off. I knew the tent was probably collapsed from that snow. The tent had instructions to keep the snow brushed off. So my bad, and not a mark against the tent that it was, indeed, collapsed. The center pole had broken under the weight of the wet, heavy snow. I ordered a new set of two poles (for an awning) and simply unzipped the tent door, went under, and raised the tent back up by putting BOTH poles in the center. (Two poles have better odds than one in case that happens again.) It amazed me that everything inside of the tent, the woodstove, chairs, a cot, boxes of wood and kindling, were all bone dry. The tent acted as a tarp until I was able to get out and put it back up.The tent stayed up all Spring, Summer, and Fall (so far) of 2024 and has endured some lowlife, criminal vandals slicing it, on two different occasions. I got a patch kit each time and patched the sliced areas and haven't had any problem with water coming in.I bought some FIREHIKING Fireproof Pipe Wrap (2 packs of wrap) to wrap around my stove pipe so the tent wouldn't get hot near where the pipe goes into the chimney jack. (If you use that make sure to wear gloves while handling it.) I don't know if that was necessary, but I didn't want to take a chance on scalding the tent material.I didn't purchase the screened in portion of the tent with a floor. For what I'm using the tent for that's not necessary and would just get in the way. I put a tarp inside the tent to set my boxes of wood/kindling on, so they don't get damp from the ground.Considering all this tent has gone through and how long it's been up (it's still up), I have nothing but good things to say about the tent as applies to my needs. It has never leaked. Through heavy wet snow, fluffy snow, sleet, hail, torrid rains, and even while collapsed, the tent has stayed bone dry inside.I enthusiastically give it five stars.
