Because the arthritis in my back, hips, and thumbs has become so bad, I purchased this jack. It is surprising how substantial it is (judging by the weight and build.)My car is a 2005 Honda CR-V. The jack was delivered the day before yesterday and it seemed prudent to test it out a few times before storing it in the back of the car. I lifted the front wheel first assuming that is heaviest due to the engine being up there. It lifted it very easily and pretty quickly, with the tire coming at least 2 inches off the ground. It's much faster than I expected. I lifted the back wheel as well. The cord reaches all the way to the back with no problem. There is a power outlet in the back of my car, so I have my choice of which to use.It seem kind of expensive, but seems worth it. I store it in a jumbo Hefty food storage bag with the slider closure. It will also fit inside a plastic ammo storage box, but unfortunately the box is too tall to fit in the little storage compartment in the back of the car.
