Jack Johnson - Best of Friends (Bof) - Perfect for Road Trips, Camping & Relaxing Music Playlists

Have been listening to this amazing jazz/rock fusion piece since the late 70s. I bought the LP, wore it out, bought another, and wore it out. Bought the cassette, then eventually the first CD release. Since I recently purchased the incredible oppo UDP-203 disc player (which handles all digital formats including SACD), I decided to get this HD Japanese import of Jack Johnson as I didn't see an actual SACD version. It is a revelation in the way the music sounds... I thought I might be in error, so I put the old CD in and listened. Then back to the import. After almost 40 years of listening, I have almost memorized this album (I am not a musician). With a player the caliber of oppo, and a copy the caliber of this import, I heard things I had never before noticed. I am also not fluent in music critic lingo, so I will end by saying, this is a stellar recording, especially if you have a stellar player.For fellow hifi geeks my setup includes an older Denon AVR-3310CI receiver and a pair of Sennheiser HD 650 headphones, as well as a pair of Denon AHD 2000 headphones.
